Agni-Yoga is a syncretistic blend of Asian and occult beliefs with many similarities to Theosophy. Roerich’s wife, Helena, identifies the historical Buddha as its most revered spiritual influence.

U.S. Vice-President Henry A. Wallace (1888-1965) was among Roerich’s followers.
